10 simple ways to live wholeheartedly and fall in-love with yourself all over again
“Contentment is not the fulfilment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have” Anonymous
For us to be present in each moment is both the most simple and most difficult task we learn in life.
It’s simple because it requires only that we pay attention to ourselves and what we are doing in this moment.
It’s the most difficult because most of the time our minds skitter around after any and every distraction that is around us.
It seems to be an impossible task to actually pay close attention for more than moments at a time.
Contentment steals over us like a gentle blush when daily affairs captivate our attention in some pleasurable way. It wells up when we have no concerns about the future and no anxieties over the past. We feel satisfied with something we’ve done, something we’ve seen, the sight of a loved one or an unexpected kindness received.
“When we stop chasing the wrong things, we give the right things a chance to catch up, like contentment”.

At the core of each of us resides a natural warmth, a capacity to love and a wellspring of delicious tenderness. And nothing can change that. So when you are willing to discover this goodness of yours, nurture it and experience it fully, your ability to thrive in your life and to be of service – expands beyond belief!

10 Ways To follow your Heart 🙂
1. Learn to nurture yourself. Eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirsty, sleep when you are tired. Â Give yourself permission to take the time to stop and breathe through your day.
2. Stop spending time with the wrong people. Life is too short to hang out with people that suck the life out of you, or that you have to fight to be a part of their lives.
3. Put your own needs first. Just as the air hostess says put your mask on first. Be your own “first response” and you’ll find so much more energy for other things and people.
4. When life’s too hard to stand… sit down, take a break. Give yourself permission to be enough right now, even if it’s just for a moment. Repeat often!
5. Self love requires self respect. If you don’t respect your needs, WHY would anyone else know to do that? BE self indulgent. Buy yourself something utterly “Sinful!”
6. Re-discover how you experience pleasure. Notice the “SMALL” things in life, because one day you’ll look back and realise they were the “BIG” things
7. Ask yourself: what ONE thing could I do today that I KNOW will make me happy. You know what that is … I KNOW you do! (What do you tell yourself that could possibly stop you from giving yourself one piece of happiness today?)
8. Don’t take the easy way out. Do something extraordinary! Life isn’t meant to be easy all the time, but it is simple if we allow it to be.
9. Let go of the idea of MISTAKES. We make choices in every moment of the day, some go well, others NOT so much. That’s all. Every choice gives us an opportunity to learn, to grown, to feel better.
10. Live YOUR OWN life! Be your own genuine unique self so that the RIGHT people will love you. If YOU don’t tell people that you matter… who will do it for you and … when?
